Our Mission

To promote the field of holistic health studies and wellness, including the art of Massage, Acupressure, Polarity & Reiki. Combining Eastern and Western methods and modalities,    that provides the scientific foundation and technical training approach for bringing together   the mind/body connection to well being.

Our Objective

  • To support each student in expressing their creativity and individuality with their career choices.
  • To create confidence within each student and prepare them to practice with effectiveness and professionalism in the career and modality of their choice.
  • To strengthen the confidence and abilities of each student by teaching them a wide range of Holistic Massage techniques and Body Work modalities, enabling them to   deal with the current health challenges that we all face today.

Our Ultimate Goal

To provide the student with thorough, hands-on education and skills that support their career choice. We also provide training in entrepreneurial skills that will enable students, upon completion of course's, to work in spas, health clubs, chiropractic offices, massage clinics, beauty salons, luxury hotels, cruise ships, doctor offices, hospitals, pain management centers, nursing homes, hospices or their own private practice.

HOLISTIC MASSAGE TECHNICIAN COURSE

100 Course Hours

Program Objectives & Job Title:    Massage or Masseuse

This course trains students for entry-level employment in the field of massage.  The student will learn to give a professional quality body, one hour Swedish-American massage, detailed muscular anatomy and elements of the business of massage, whether self-employed or working for others.  An important part of the curriculum is the discussion of ethics and boundaries in professional massage. While this program has been designed to meet the requirements of most of the local cities and employers, licensing and hiring requirements do vary from city to city.                                                                                                                                                 

The student is advised to research the licensing requirements in his or her city.

Program Objectives & Job Title:    Massage or Masseuse

This course teaches massage professionals additional styles of massage; Acupressure I, (Shiatsu), Kinesiology IHot Stone Therapy,  and/or various other bodywork  modalities, demonstrations and practice of the techniques, the theory and applications of each massage modality.   The hands-on focus is on indications and contraindications of each bodywork/ massage modality.   In addition, students will have clinic & practice hours to encompass the modalities learned, emphasizing the healthy functioning of the body.

This course teaches massage professionals additional styles of massage; Chair Massage, Advanced Massage Techniques I (Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy), Various Stress/Pain Relief Techniques I  (Reflexology and/or overviews of Yoga, Stretching, Ayervedic & Nutrition), Polarity Therapy I (Bio-Energenics - Body's Energy System, Chakras & Meridians),  demonstration and practice of techniques, the theory & applications of each modality.  The hands-on focus is on indications and contraindications of each modality.   In addition, students will have clinic & practice hours to encompass the modalities learned, emphasizing the healthy functioning of the body.

Program Objectives & Job Title:  Holistic Health Practitioner

The Holistic Health Practitioner Course provides continuing education for active health practitioners.  The focus is on understanding holism and the relationship of holistic practice to the community in general.  In addition, students gain additional training in Anatomy & Physiology II, (which builds on the knowledge to be gained in the Kinesiology II class, focusing on the location and palpation of muscles & Tendons),  Acupressure II,  Kinesiology II,  Advanced Massage Techniques II (Deep Muscle, Soft Tissue, & Trigger Point Therapies), Various Stress/Pain Relief Techniques II, (5-Element Theory, Chakras, Sound, Music, Color Therapies), Polarity Therapy II,  & Essential Oils, Aromatherapy & Spa Services.    In addition, students will have supervised clinic & practice hours to encompass the modalities learned, emphasizing the healthy functioning of the body and the understanding of dis-ease conditions a therapist/practitioner may meet with in daily massage practice.

Program Objectives & Job Title:  Holistic Massage Instructor

This course teaches the Holistic Health Practitioner to be a Holistic Massage instructor in a private post-secondary school.  The course teaches a student the various modalities of massage, class room planning and presentation, social psychology, self awareness and empathy skills, as well as student record and documentation skills.
